🌷Spring Check-In

You’ve seen enough to know where you stand. What you do next is what separates you.

📰 COLLEGIATE ELITES WEEKLY

Issue 042 — March 31, 2026

The season is already telling you something. The question is, are you paying attention?

🛎️ SPRING CHECK-IN

Spring break is right around the corner.

And whether you realize it or not…
you’ve already done enough to learn a lot.

Some athletes are trending up.
Others are starting to feel the gap.

The question is, where are you?

So let’s check in.

🔍 WHAT IS SPRING REVEALING?

At this point in the season, results aren’t random.

They’re patterns.

And if you pay attention, they’ll tell you exactly what you need to know.

Where are you improving?
Where are you getting exposed?

Be honest.

Are you consistently making the right moves?
Holding your level of play late in games?

Because the fastest way to get better is to clearly see what’s actually happening.

🏗️ WAS IT BUILT OR BORROWED?

If things are going well, why?

Was it built through consistent, intentional work?

Or are you riding momentum?

A couple good games.
A few plays going your way.
Confidence from early success.

Is it because you’ve been consistent, focused, and intentional?

Or did you just catch a few good moments?

Built performance shows up again and again.
It holds up when you’re tired.
When the game speeds up.
When the pressure hits.

Borrowed performance fades when it matters most.

🔧 MAKE THE ADJUSTMENT

Now comes the decision.

If something is working → double down
If something is off → fix it

But “fix it” means being specific.

Not just “I need to get better.”

What exactly needs to improve?

Footwork?
Conditioning?
Decision-making?
Effort between plays?

No more guessing.
No more waiting.

Identify it. Attack it. Improve it.

That’s how separation happens.

🔐 LOCK IN YOUR APPROACH

The season isn’t over.

But it is far enough along that you should be operating with intention.

Not just showing up and going through practice.

You should know:

  • What you’re working on

  • Why it matters

  • How it shows up in competition

You should be able to point to it in real time.

“That’s what I’ve been working on.”
“That’s where I’ve improved.”
“That’s still the gap.”

If you don’t do this already, this is your moment to reset.

🧠 FINAL THOUGHT

Spring doesn’t define your season.
But it does expose it.

It shows you what’s real.
What’s repeatable.
And what still needs work.

Take note. Be honest.

Fix the gap and double down on what’s working.

Because elite athletes don’t wait for results to change.
They change what they’re doing to get results.
