💪 Prove It
Earning the opportunity is the first step. Now it’s time to deliver.

📰 COLLEGIATE ELITES WEEKLY
Issue 071 — October 20, 2026
You’ve put in the work.
You’ve spent countless hours training, developing your skills, and pushing yourself to reach the next level.
Now you’ve got your opportunity.
Maybe you’ve earned a starting spot, been given more playing time, made the varsity team, or moved up to a higher level of competition.
This is what you’ve been working toward.
But getting the opportunity and making the most of it are two different things.
You wanted the chance to compete at this level. To make an impact. To show what you’re capable of.
Now it’s time to deliver.
🏆 EXPECTATIONS HAVE CHANGED
Moving up to the next level is an accomplishment, but it also comes with greater expectations.
The competition is better. The responsibilities are bigger. And what was once impressive might just be what’s expected.
Maybe you were the best player on your previous team.
Maybe you dominated against younger competition.
Maybe you stood out because of your athletic ability.
None of that guarantees success at the next level. You’ll have to establish yourself all over again.
Can you compete against athletes who are just as talented as you?
Can you play a bigger role?
Can you execute when your team needs you?
You earned the opportunity. Now you have to show you belong.
⚡️ IT’S TIME TO EXECUTE
There’s a difference between having the potential to do something and actually doing it.
You might have the talent to make a play, but can you make it?
You might understand exactly what your role requires, but can you execute?
That’s what competition is about.
At some point, potential and expectations have to turn into results.
It’s not about making every shot, winning every matchup, or having a perfect performance.
It’s about stepping into competition and making things happen.
Making the right decisions.
Executing your responsibilities.
Taking advantage of opportunities when they present themselves.
Don’t just be capable of making the play.
Make the play.
💥 MAKE AN IMPACT
Every athlete has a role, and every role comes with an opportunity to make an impact.
Maybe you’re the player your team looks to when they need to score.
Maybe you’re responsible for shutting down the other team’s best player.
Maybe your job is to control the pace, win your matchups, or create opportunities for your teammates.
Whatever your role looks like, own it.
When you’re in the game, your contributions should matter.
Can your coach trust you to execute your assignment?
Can your teammates count on you when the game gets difficult?
Are you helping your team compete and putting them in a position to succeed?
You don’t have to be the star player to prove your value, but you should be someone who makes a difference when you’re on the field or court.
Be the athlete your team can count on to deliver.
🎯 FINAL THOUGHT
You’ve earned your chance. Now it’s about what you do with it.
Step up.
Execute.
Make an impact.
The opportunity is yours. Now show what you can do.
Prove It.
Be Elite.
